Comunanza Agraria degli Uomini Originari di Serra Sant’Abbondio 

Erede dell’Università degli Uomini Originari, la Comunanza Agraria è un’antica forma associativa di proprietà collettiva di boschi, prati e pascoli gestiti in uso civico.
La testimonianza più antica della sua esistenza a Serra Sant’Abbondio risale alla fine del XIII secolo ma forme di gestione collettiva delle montagne sono attestate anche dall’epoca preistorica.
Del 1841 è il Regolamento che disciplina l’organizzazione ed il funzionamento della Comunanza Agraria al fine di garantire un corretto utilizzo del bene comune rappresentato dai terreni e dai boschi del Monte Catria. Tutt’oggi

Agrarian Commonality of the Original Men of Serra Sant’Abbondio 

Heir to the University of Originary Men, the Comunanza is an ancient form of association of collective property of woods, meadows and pastures managed in civic use.
The oldest proof of its existence in Serra Sant’Abbondio dates back to the end of the XIII century – though other types of collective management of the mountain lands have been proved to exist ever since the prehistoric age.
In 1841 a new Regulation was estabilished: it oversees the organization and the functioning of the Agricultural Community in order to guarantee the proper use of the shared resource of the woods and the lands of mount Catria.
Nowadays the Community guarantees the shared heritage’s integrity and preservation.
